We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only with trusted service providers who help us run the app, under strict confidentiality.

StashBot uses a privacy-focused analytics platform (PostHog) to help us understand how users interact with the app and to improve our services. We are committed to protecting your privacy in our use of analytics.

What We Collect:

  • Event data: Actions you take in the app (e.g., adding items, searching, using features)
  • Session replay: Visual recordings of your app usage to help us identify and fix issues
  • Crash reports: Information about app crashes and errors to improve stability

Privacy Protections:

  • All information is anonymized: We do not collect personally identifiable information through our analytics platform
  • Text redaction: All textual information visible in session replays is automatically redacted to protect your privacy
  • Identified-only profiles: We only create user profiles for users who have explicitly signed in, and we use your user ID (not your email or other personal information) for identification
  • GDPR compliant: Our analytics configuration follows GDPR best practices, including data minimization and user control

Data Storage and Retention:

  • Analytics data is stored on the analytics platform's secure servers
  • Data is retained according to the analytics platform's standard retention policies

Your Rights:

  • When you delete your StashBot account, all associated analytics data (including events, session replays, and user profile) is automatically deleted
  • You can request deletion of your analytics data at any time by updating your account settings.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website. This site does not use cookies at this time.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.

7. Your Choices

You can update or delete your account and data anytime from the app settings. Inactive accounts will be removed after a period of time. We will attempt to notify you before removing your account.

8. Beta Tester Selection

Selection for beta testing is entirely at StashBot's discretion. We may consider various factors in our selection process, but we are under no obligation to select any particular user for beta testing. Our selection decisions are final.

9. Children's Privacy

There is no content filtering in StashBot, though all data is provided by you and those you authorize. The app is not intended for children under 13. Parents or guardians who allow their children to use StashBot are responsible for the safety and well-being of their children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will notify you of significant changes.

11. Contract Validity

If any part of this agreement is to be found unlawful or invalid, that part will be considered severed and the remaining parts will continue in full force and effect.
